E hiakai ana ahau

This week room 4 learned the phrase E hiakai ana ahau, which means I am hungry in Te reo maori.

First, we watched the reomation video with pukeko to learn the phrases.

Next, we practiced saying them and then made a Storyboard for a create task.

I used one man at a restaurant saying he was hungry.

The hardest thing for me was remembering what words to say.

lego.

Last week we created with Lego. I have done a King Size Chair. the colors were white black red yellow brown Grey. It was so big I liked my king-size chair after that I took a picture of myself and my king-size chair And I put it in my blog After that the next day I had to write about it in my blog.

WALT use similes

This week room 4 learned about similes for writing. Similes are Language Features that compare something to something else using the words like or as.

First, we talked and brainstormed about similes. We then used the app Shout It Out to share our thoughts.

Next, we watched a video story called My Dog is as Smelly as Dirty Socks. Then we wrote 3 sentences about our families using similes.

The next day, we created a Google Drawing using our sentences and we added images of the similes. We used format options to add shadows or reflections. We changed the colours, size, and style of the fonts. We added shapes and outlines and changed our background colours.

what I found easiest was thinking about my family.

What I found hardest was finding the images.
